The Los Angeles Chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers is an all volunteer organization committed to professional development and providing animal keepers with opportunities to raise money for animal conservation. As a 501 (3)(c) organization we rely 100% on volunteer time and therefore donations to do the work we do. Donations directly to the AAZK Los Angeles Chapter will help to fund new events, create awareness, and provide educational opportunities, and are tax deductible to the donor. We accept both cash and physical item donations, see below for more information. |
Bowling for Rhinos is a bowling event held nation-wide that supports the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy where our donations help protect both black and white rhinos and most of the other species native to East Africa. In Indonesia BFR supports the remaining Javan Rhinos at Ujung Kulon National Park and the Sumatran Rhinos in Bukit Barisan Selatan and Way Kambas National Parks through the International Rhino Foundation. BFR also supports Action for Cheetahs in Kenya. Along with the fun of bowling during BFR, much of the fundraising comes from the silent auction. We can also use tangible items for our other fundraisers throughout the year, and it's all tax-deductible for you! See the Bowling for Rhinos tab for more information on this year's event! |
